Environment
An environment is everything that surrounds us, including both living and nonliving objects like soil, water, animals, and plants that adapt to their circumstances. Nature’s gift aids in the nourishment of life on Earth. The environment is critical to the continued existence of life on Earth. The term “Environment” comes from the French word “Environ,” which means “surrounding.” An ecosystem is all of the living and non-living objects in the environment, and it is the foundation of the Biosphere, which affects the overall health of the planet.
Ecology and environmental science are areas of life science that investigate organisms and their interactions with other creatures and their surroundings. Environment plays an important role in healthy living and the existence of life on planet earth. Earth is a home for different living species and we all are dependent on the environment for food, air, water, and other needs. Therefore, it is important for every individual to save and protect our environment.
The environment encompasses both living and non-living things with which an organism interacts or has an influence. Biologic elements are live things with which an organism interacts, such as animals and plants, whereas abiotic elements are nonliving objects such as air, water, and sunlight. Investigating the environment entails investigating the relationships between these numerous things. Plants collecting minerals from the soil and generating food using sunshine are two examples of interactions between non-living and living objects. Predation, or one organism devouring another, is one example of living-thing interaction.
People who study and aim at protecting the environment and identified as environmentalists. They believe that we must protect the natural environment in order to keep it safe. Natural resources are things in the natural world that we value. cological units are natural systems with little human intervention. All plants, microorganisms, soil, rocks, atmosphere, and natural events are included. Natural resources and physical phenomena have no defined bounds. Climate, air, water, energy, radiation, electric charge, and magnetism are examples of these.
