Biology is defined as the science of life and living organisms. Biology is subdivided into separate branches for convenience of study- the study of plants (botany) the study of animals (zoology), the study of the structure of organisms (morphology) and study of function (physiology) though all the subdivisions are interrelated by basic principles. Aspects of biological science range from the study of molecular mechanisms in cells to the classification and behaviour of organisms, how species evolve, interaction between ecosystems and determining what is to be classified as living.
